Date field component

Hi

The client needs the possibility to change the date range during runtime of dashboard.

I have included it in a dimension filter component.

But this component is not user friendly for selecting dates.

So i thought of using Date field component instead. So my question here, is it possible to connect a variable through the date field component?

On selecting a change it should hit the Bex query at the backend and bring the appropriate results.

Also suggest if there are any better ways to handle this?
