frequency of the interface

Hi Frnds,

               i have a issue in interface program i.e

                 Can we reduce the frequency of the interface from 3 hrs to 45 minutes or 15 minutes, if yes what will be the overall impact on
system performance and feasibility. ?

Please guide me.
